The goal of eyelid rejuvenation is a natural look with normal function. The technique of Blepharoplasty has changed over the years with less skin removal and more volume replacement. This is achieved by addressing the eyelids, brows and periorbital region including the cheeks as a combined region or area.
Droopy eyelids can be a result of a variety of conditions. As we age, the area around the eyes looses fat. The deflation of the tissue causes the brows drop. Also the skin becomes lax and wrinkles more. This can be treated by replacing the volume with a fat transfer with or without removal of a small amount of skin from the upper eyelid.
